The name WAVE PTX™ is variation of the classic two-way radio abbreviation PTT (Push-To-Talk) and stands for Push-To-Anything or Push-To-Everything. To signify the fact that WAVE PTX™ is much more than only voice communications.
WAVE PTX™ is a network independent service for Push-To-Talk communications from Motorola Solutions. The platform leverages the cloud and available connection to enable two-way radio communications on smartphones, tablets, PCs and PoC-radios. It provides you with the possibility to implement a coherent and effective communications strategy by enaling groupcalls on devices you already exist, regardless och location.
Through a collection of apps the architecture allows users on phones, tablets and more communicate freely over current, available connection in one solution.
