This new version is waterproof and offers better coverage and more features. Features that are easily accessible thanks to the simple navigation buttons and hotkeys while the display enables users to read messages and browse menus.
The upgraded DP2000e series
Motorolas DP2000e series combines the best from classic two-way radios with digital technology, in-line with the purpose with the MOTOTRBO family.
Improved performance
The receiver characteristics have been developed in the new series providing up to 8% longer reach. The new devices can be used to answer calls further from the repeaters with maintained quality.
Just like DP2000 the Enhanced (e) series offers active noise cancelling and features like Intelligent Audio that together produce improvements in audio quality. There are also optional Privacy features available to obstruct eaves-dropping and Transmit Interrupt features to enable prioritization of important communications.
The new version are also more energy efficient than the predecessors or more specifically, they can operate on a lower current that previous models. This means that a battery can keep a radio running longer before recharge. In practice this translates to up to 28 hours of operation (5/5/90) with a high capacity battery equipped with the new “low voltage” technology.
Now even waterproof
Motorola always emphasises reliability and the DP2000e series is no exception, both units meet or exceed all categories if the MIL-STD and Motorola ALT quality assurance program. The entire series now also meet IP67.
Another addition to the series is a noticeable environmental perspective regarding the products. All devices are made of materials approved according to ROHS. I.e. they are now both environmentally friendly and user friendly.
