The radios in the series are developed according to the requirements in the latest ATEX and IECEx standards and delivers unparalleled protection in potentially dangerous surroundings. Regardless if it concerns explosive gases, chemical vapours, flammable liquids or combustible dust the MTP8000Ex series provides worker safety.
The series are based on Motorola’s latest TETRA architecture and offers best-in-class receiver sensitivity and transmitter performance providing further reach and better performance indoors. The speakers have also been upgraded which together with the automatic adjustment of output levels delivers a more consistent audio quality, regardless of ambient noise.
A lot of focus has been put on meeting user demands regarding usability, resulting in the noticeable T-profile. The design combined with the enlarged controls and texturized PTT makes it easier to handle while wearing gloves and protective clothing. At the same time the display and LED indicators on the top of radio gives the user immediate feedback while being worn on the waist or chest.
The MTP8000Ex series has been equipped with built-in Bluetooth, allowing a wide range of audio accessories to be connected safely. But the radio also enables connection of biometric and gas sensors or heart rate monitors that can instantly alert the user as well as control rooms about an emerging situation.
As usual Motorola has taken measures to ensure optimum quality. In addition to meeting or exceeding all categories of MIL-STD and its own quality assurance program Motorola ALT™ the series is ingress protected to IP65, IP66 and IP67.
